A jury clears two men accused of shooting a Clairton police officer, despite confessions the men say were coerced. (Do people really confess to things they haven't done? It's been known to happen.)

Gov. Tom Corbett praises tax giveaways that will create 2 kajillion jobs at "cracker" plant in Beaver County. "We are seeing something happening in Harrisburg that I’d like to see happen in Washington," he says. Corbett may be the only person in Pennsylvania who wishes the rest of the world were more like Harrisburg.
